I can't believe it has been one full year already. Made enough stories to last a lifetime already. I love you.

The Funeral
The Funeral
The entangled branches weaved into the coffin that carried the vessel of what once carried the life of The Old Man. Six figures carried the hand-made casket. Each wearing black robes with thick hoods that covered the sorrowed face in shadows. Green lace covered the robes in embroidered patterns that seemed to glow faintly against the contrasting red light that fell through the breaks in the forest branches. Alex escorted the company through the path that had be made just for the occasion. He wore his rough leather outfit that he had made after his trail. Placed on his head as a helmet made from the skull of the beast he had killed. Tears fell short of pouring like ice melting from the peaks of the mountains into the natural springs below in a valley. Yet he stood strong marching down the path guiding the casket barring men between the trees and the villagers that attended. The Elders stood waiting in at the edge of the forest. The safety of the environment from the outer world faded more and more as Alex approached. The air became thicker with heat and moistures. Alex could feel his lungs starting to feel incapable of breathing in and failing to separate the water from the oxygen. Even so, he continued to march forward until he stood in front of the four Elders. The edge of the forest was the unbearable place where life withered and was right before the end of the shield that Mother Nature blessed them with. Standing took effort, how could these old men be stronger than him? How did they stand the ability to breath in this unforgiving air? He felt weaker and weaker by the moment. Legs shaking he knew he probably wouldn’t last much longer without passing out. “I must stay strong. That is why the Old Man trusted me to do this. This is why he believed in me when the rest of the Elders doubted.” This is all he could tell himself to continue standing under the strain of the outside strange old. He forgot that the people behind him were there even. Their robes, by some miracle seemed to protect them from the harsh conditions. The green lace was now glowing a magnificent light.
The Elders without saying a word could see the weakness in him. He knew it. Alex looked into the eyes of one before him. It was like looking into a long forgotten pass. Without words being exchanged the Elders moved from before Alex to relieve the men carrying the Old Mans coffin. The ones livly branches that formed together with leafs and flexibily now looked dead and lifeless.
This was the last trial, but still unknown to Alex was that it was. He looked over his shoulder and saw that the time was now. He stepped forward breaking the barrier into pure red sky. He barley made ten paces forward before turning around to see the casket break the same barrier with the Elders.
Suddenly, it was as if his soul was on fire. He started screaming in unforgiving agony. He knew immediately that he would only survive by magic, or die in the next moments. Each second seemed forever as his skull felt like it was being ripped apart from the inside. His body was starting to die. He could no longer scream, for there was no oxygen left for him to. How could this happen? What had he done to deserve this painful death? Why did the Old Man want this for him? Worst of all, he could see the casket be put down to the ground and catch ablaze. The Elders stood though. How was that? Unless, magic was involved. He fell to his knees, before face planting the dry rock bed below him. He couldn’t cry for the heat immediate dried them. He felt his life fading as his body was fading and this mind started to fade further into darkness.

Alex
He sat up his tanned skin and hand trimmed dark hair covered by dried mud and dirt from preparing the pits the day before. He went from his sweet dreams of stories the Old Man had always mentioned a time when their was technology and some things were more simple. The Old Man was the last one to remain that remember the world before the suns glow became the blood red it seemed to be most days, covered by clouds and they only made it seem worse.

Red Skies
The red glow of the sun beat heavily on the barren sky. Cloud might have blocked it from view but the glow of its aura could be seen faintly in the sky, as heat manifested the air. Thick with humidity, the moisture could fill the lungs of anything that would walk the surface in need of oxygen. Life didn’t exist in this wasteland ever since the turning of the Red Star. The sky was stood out as a bright sun once shinned a glorious orange. The lakes, now dry ones shimmered reflections of the beautiful sky. Water that once stood still in the lakes brought new life around it. The green leaves that once covered the tall trees now littering the flood in a dust brown dry and withered. The plains now were running a mixture of yellow and red from being caught on fire from the unwelcomed heat. The planet which once held life now was as empty as the houses were people once lived. Homes eroded in a short year from the rot of the world. What should have taken numerous decades happened in the shorted time. The natural order of things, taken over by the forces of uncontrolled Mother Nature. She in her might saw the world in the corruption and when she told the gods the corruption of her gift they raged war on this world. Yet, they agreed that if the will of those living is strong they will leave a small part untouched. In this part the skies broke over the red sky could be seen. The small handful that could still see every night could see the flow of green light in aurora borealis. It mixed into the faint red glow and left hope in the hearts of the strong.

My Other Mothers influence
I have a few mothers in my life. But one she, I am sure, loves me for is my love for her food and a very simple recipe. Called....wait for it....Noodles and Cheese. At first yes you thing Mac and cheese. Not the same. Its easy to make, very easy. Poor people love it as do the rich. First ingredient any kind of noodles, but Ramen noodles are prefered. They are cheap, horrible for you but perfect. Second, your choice of cheese. After cooking the noodles to your desired tenderness drain, and add cheese. At this point add anything else to it would like. For me it is a single hotdog per packet of noodles, tapito and red crushed peppers. Everyone may choose what they want. I know I make my Mothers proud.

Velocirapter Day
So I am blogging on the move today. So Wednesday was Velociraptor Awareness Day and the Maintenance Officers going away. We got shirts and a cake made for it. It was rather eventful. Worked the first half of the day and played volleyball for the rest at the beach. The new Sgtmjr we have showed up and had a good laugh at our shirts. Hopefully you all enjoyed it!

Mothers
Well I know this blog needs a little catching up, so I have been having a trend of going through old pictures. This one comes from around Thanksgiving weekend from Lake Arrowhead. It was an amazing time. My Mother(the birthing one :p) got married to Jefferey Ward. Its funny to watch your Mom get married after you are. I guess it is part of life sometimes. Speaking of Mothers....Mom has a special present hopefully coming her way for Mother's Day. I don't think it will beat my "other Mothers" surprise Mother's Day present a few years ago, but I always have a trick or two with a few people helping behind the scenesWeight Loss and a Dog.
So I think today I am going to give an update on the newest part of the McCullough family. Lord Rexifer. Yes that is his full name. Meghan told me that when you get a Yorkie, that they have those kind of names. He is I believe about six months old. He knows who his owners are and is very friendly. Does fantasic in car rides. Only thing he knows how to do really is sit. He is my little man, and a pain in the butt. I am in no way used to small dogs. I swear, he is encouraging me not to have any kids soon.

Wish me luck,
